A destination can be remembered through scent just as easily as through an image, a meal or a piece of music. On the French Riviera, citrus, Mediterranean herbs, flowers and warm woody notes are closely associated with summer in the South of France.

Grasse, just inland from Cannes, has an important place in this story. Jasmine, rose and orange blossom have long been cultivated around the town, making fragrance part of the cultural identity of the Côte d’Azur.

But a Riviera fragrance does not have to be traditionally floral. Citrus zest, peach, aromatic herbs, cedarwood and vetiver can create a very different interpretation of the Mediterranean and the places associated with it.

Ice Tropez Le Parfum takes Saint-Tropez as its reference. Peach Vibes combines white peach and citrus zest with botanical notes, while cedarwood, vetiver, juniper and pink pepper bring a warmer character. Ice Tropez Zero provides a lighter variation on the same fragrance identity.

Like music, scent has a particular ability to become connected to a time and place. A fragrance worn throughout a summer can later bring back a beach, an evening out or a particular journey long after it has ended.

When Scent Becomes a Memory

Music and perfume have something in common: both can bring a particular moment back almost instantly. Discover how Ice Tropez translates the atmosphere of Saint-Tropez into fragrance.
