Style & Fashion @bohemianstyle
Green is becoming an easy alternative to the traditional summer palette of white, beige and denim.
Softer shades such as olive, sage and pistachio work particularly well because they are noticeable without being difficult to combine. They sit naturally alongside cream, tan, brown and other earthy colours commonly found in a bohemian wardrobe.
The colour also works across very different pieces. An olive utility jacket can be worn over lightweight summer clothing on cooler days, while green details on sandals introduce the shade on a much smaller scale.
Natural materials make the combination particularly effective. Canvas, linen, cotton, raffia and leather have slightly different textures, which prevents a limited colour palette from looking flat.
Green can also be mixed within the same outfit. There is no need to find identical shades. Combining muted olive with a fresher botanical green can make the styling feel less coordinated and more relaxed.
For anyone who wears plenty of neutrals, it is an accessible way to introduce more colour without completely changing the wardrobe.
More colour, style, interiors and inspiration come together in our second edition.
