The best things to bring home from Saint-Tropez are pieces that reflect something you actually encountered while staying there. Around the old town and Vieux Port, there are several alternatives to conventional tourist souvenirs.

Art is an obvious place to start. Painters continue to display views of the harbour, colourful façades, boats and surrounding coastline. Styles vary considerably, from traditional Mediterranean scenes to more contemporary interpretations, making an original artwork or print a personal reminder of the destination.

Fashion offers another possibility. Saint-Tropez has developed its own recognisable summer wardrobe, with sandals, woven bags, lightweight dresses, hats and beachwear appearing throughout the boutiques of the centre.

Les Tropéziennes par M. Belarbi is one of the names closely associated with this southern French aesthetic, particularly through its sandals and warm-weather footwear.
