A finca interior can be simple without being neutral. Against whitewashed walls, old timber and terracotta, strong colours immediately stand out and give a room a more personal character.

Textiles are one of the easiest ways colour enters these homes. Patterned cushions, woven blankets and rugs introduce shades of orange, pink, red, turquoise and green while leaving the architecture itself relatively understated.

The combination works particularly well in bedrooms. White bed linen creates a calm base, while several different patterns can be added through smaller pieces. They do not need to match perfectly. Similar colours appearing across different textiles are enough to bring the room together.

Objects collected during travels can add another layer. Ceramics, baskets, wall hangings and older furniture fit naturally into the rustic surroundings and make the interior feel less designed around one particular look.

The result is a more colourful interpretation of finca living, combining Ibiza’s rural architecture with the relaxed, eclectic interiors found across the island.
